Technical Support Agent

(position in Belgrade)

More about the role:

Customer experience is very important to us and the Technical Support Agent roles are central to ensuring that everyone who interacts with us has the best experience possible. Our support is provided by email and live chat although we also offer a phone support option. We interact with our end-users/customers to resolve technical issues and to process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about our products and services.

Who are we looking for?

  • You need excellent English language skills, with emphasis on good written English. We are very interested in talking to candidates who are fluent in another major language, as we offer multi-lingual support.
  • Customer service experience
  • Our customers value clear communication, excellent communication skills are extremely important.
  • The applicant should be comfortable with shift work
  • Attributes: Creative thinker, positive attitude, team player, focused, results oriented, problem solving, patience and determination are ALL important to help discover the customer’s issue and to solve it.

Essential skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of networking and TCP/IP protocol stack: HTTP, DNS DHCP, Telnet, SSH, SMTP, TCP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, ARP, MAC.
  • Solid knowledge of VPN protocols: PPTP/L2TP/IPSec/OpenVPN
  • Basic experience in configuring routers (Open source and/or SOHO routers) like DD-WRT/Tomato/OpenWRT/AsusWRT – Merlin
  • Required knowledge of the following:
    o    Windows XP/7/8/8.1 and networking tools: ping, traceroute, ifconfig, nslookup.
    o    Mac OS X 10.7+
    o    Android
    o    Apple iOS 6+
    o    Linux (Ubuntu, Debian CentOS, Fedora) and its services – linux terminal, package management, OpenVPN service, text editors (vim, emacs, nano..), Linux firewall (iptables, mangle..), advanced routing

Desired skills:

  • Windows server platforms (Windows 2008 / Windows 2012) and its services
  • DNS service
  • Email client configuration

Any applicants who hold certificates from Cisco, Mikrotik or Microsoft (CCNA/MTCNA/MCSA) would be considered advantageous. Perl and Bash scripting would also be considered a bonus.
