Linux / Android System Engineer
Location: Belgrade
Job Description:
For maintaining and developing our extensive smartphone- and computer-based mobile network measurement systems we are looking for a motivated engineer with the following responsibilities:
- Research of new smartphone and mobile network technologies, e.g. newest Android versions, VoLTE, VoWiFi
- Research of Android smartphone mobile network capabilities
- Tweaking Android firmware’s to enable advanced measurements (e.g. flashing, system rights, enabling access to diagnostic ports, etc.)
- Identify and test suitable Android smartphones for mobile network testing
- Analyze results and provide recommendations
- Track Android version, smartphone firmware versions and issues
- Development of innovative, leading-edge measurement approaches and methodologies
Qualifications:
- Good experience with Linux on system level; experience with Android is an advantage
- Experience developing in Java and/or C++ is an advantage
- Experience in area of device testing is an advantage
- Knowledge of other mobile operating systems from the telecommunication area is an advantage
- Keen to search for creative and unconventional solutions
- Solution-orientated and proactive approach
- Interest in new technologies and hands-on research & trials with Android devices
- Very good command of English, German is an advantage
